Singer, songwriter, art teacher, artist, and landscaper,”Q”, aka Quenten Brown, cherishes a personal nostalgia in his songs. The result is an engaging uplifting experience for both performer and audience. Songs are delivered with a wink and a nod, ensuring that all are ‘in’ on the curious experiment that is a live performance.
Born in Black River Falls, Q. was instilled with a hard work ethic. The son of a concrete contractor and a hotel manager, Brown learned that the only way that one makes his way in the world is through a consistent commitment to one’s craft.
Now based in the Coulee Region, Q. has spent the last 20 years running the ridges, playing every bar, front porch, beer garden, private event that he can, and enjoying the experiences that each unique venue brings along the way. When he is not playing music, Brown can be found digging in the dirt with his local landscaping company, exhibiting his abstract art, and teaching art to high school students.
You can expect to hear music by Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, the Black Crowes, Blind Melon, and Stevie Ray to Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, and Tyler Childers and a originals thrown in too!
