Architecture Amble: Downtown Wausau Historic District

Join us for our first Architecture Amble of the season - and our continued celebration of Historic Preservation Month.

Gary Gisselman will lead a tour through Wausau’s Downtown Historic District. He will highlight the organizations and buildings that helped Wausau grow and thrive throughout the years. He will inform us about how this area encapsulates a unique and valuable story of how Wausau came to be what it is today. Downtown has been the center of the commercial, religious, and entertainment culture of Wausau.

The tour will begin at 6 pm at the parking lot on the corner 4th and Washington Streets. Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Also note that there may be uneven surfaces as we walk.

As always, the tour is free of charge and open to all.
