Volunteer options at Illinois Beach State Park this Saturday!

This week volunteers can choose their own adventure!
Two priority areas need immediate white sweet clover intervention to prevent seeds from creating new plants.
Option #1 - From 8am to 11am volunteers will work along a shady dune near the Nature Center parking lot.
Option #2 - From 9am to 2pm volunteers led by the Peregrines, a roving band of committed stewards, will go south of the Dead River. It's a beautiful hike along the lakefront to a protected area off limits to the public.
Each group will meet at the Nature Center parking lot a few minutes before start time.
Please bring plenty of water, hat and gloves, and snacks or lunch.
