World Chimpanzee Day Event 2025

🍌World Chimpanzee Day is celebrated on July 14th! 🍌

Join us to celebrate chimpanzees, our closest living relatives, at this World Chimp Day Event. This educational tour event is an exclusive opportunity to visit our chimpanzee area, as it is not on our regular tour route. You'll have the chance to meet many of our chimpanzee residents and hear from some of our chimpanzee caregivers throughout the tour as they teach you about our chimpanzee residents. We'll start the event with a "chimp talk" hosted by our Ape Care Supervisor of Chimpanzees, and you'll end your visit by browsing and shopping for one-of-a-kind, limited chimp art and CGA merchandise. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase for a chance to win an overnight stay in our CGA cabin, a chimpanzee painting experience, or a chimpanzee art piece.

Two tour slots are available on Monday, July 14th: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Please be sure to select the one you'd like to register for when choosing your ticket option. Both times are limited to the first 20 people to register. $50 per person. All participants must be 15 or older. All participants must be able to walk and stand for about a mile. If you are unable to do so, please contact us prior to registering to see if accommodates can be made.

Only chimpanzees will be viewed on this tour. Join us for our International Orangutan Day celebration tour on August 19th to see orangutans!
