Performance Class: SCARED SCRIPTLESS w/ Rob & Emma

Scared Scriptless is Guelph's monthly, semi-scripted improv-theatre collaboration. Actors learn real scenes from real plays and perform them live with improvisers who have never seen the script! Join the show's co-creators Rob Lewin & Emma Currie for a five-week class covering the basics of the format, where you'll learn tools for success with both improv and scripted components including initiating with a strong choice, supporting your own moves, and finding room for mischief.

The class concludes with a student showcase where the class will perform the format they've been working on. Big laughs, playful vibes, and a supportive Pinch community!

Some improv experience is recommended.

About the instructor:

Rob Lewin an improviser & sketch comedian living in Guelph. He is an alumnus of the Bad Dog Featured Players, Second City FamCo, and a founding member of the Making-Box Brigade. He is one half of the sketch comedy duo CORPSE (Guelph Comedy Fest 2024), and co-creator of the smash hit SCARED SCRIPTLESS series (monthly at SILENCE).

Emma Currie is an improviser & recreational sketch comedian living in Guelph. She is a former member of the Making Box Brigade and Comedy Sketch Town writer/performer. She is part of Guelph's premier femme and non-binary improv troupe The Phlegmies (monthly shows at Which Craft Guelph), and co-creator of the SCARED SCRIPTLESS series.
