Traffic Stop Practice for Newly Licensed Drivers

Officers from various Southeastern CT Police Departments are holding Traffic Stop Practice for Newly Licensed Drivers. This FREE event is on Sunday, July 20th 9AM-1PM at the Waterford High School. This event will help make the participating drivers feel more comfortable if they are pulled over in the future. There are two different waves for participants to come (9AM or 11AM). Participants must have a valid Connecticut Learner’s Permit or Driver’s License. A parent or guardian must attend the event with the driver. The driver must have a valid driver’s permit/license, registration, and insurance card at the event. At the event, there is a presentation to review the traffic stop process and allow the participants to ask any questions to make sure they are comfortable.
