Sweden at WorldPride: Stockholm Underground

In celebration of WorldPride 2025, the Embassy of Sweden and Stockholm Business Region invite you to a festive evening at Dupont Underground, full of special displays and surprises. Discover what makes Stockholm so unique while connecting, and dancing the night away, with like-minded individuals.

In our headliner talk, hear from acclaimed Swedish author and activist Jonas Gardell, one of the most distinctive voices in Sweden on LGBTQI+ rights today. Engage in a spotlight session featuring Anders Österberg, Deputy Mayor of Stockholm; Petter Wallenberg, founder of Rainbow Riots, a non-profit organization that uses arts and culture to advocate for human rights for LGBTQI+ people globally; and Ulrika Westerlund, member of the Swedish Parliament, spokesperson for LGBTQI+ rights for the Swedish Green Party, and former chairman of RFSL (Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Rights).

Witness Petter Wallenberg featuring Lady Bunny performing the live world premiere of their new single "My Love (is the way it's supposed to be)", which brings together queer voices from Uganda, American drag icon Lady Bunny, and students from Sweden and London. Finally, explore the curated video work exhibition, "European Capital Cities Underground," selected from the Archive - Video-Forum of the Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k.).

Stockholm - the open city. A European beacon of modernity, inclusivity, and equality. A city that breaks boundaries, challenges norms, and celebrates diversity. The capital of one of the most equal countries in the world.
