Join us to celebrate the release of the new Stacey Park Milbern quarter with a special presentation, Korean fan dance, and panel discussion.

About this Event

Join us at the National Museum of American History to celebrate the release of the new Stacey Park Milbern quarter with a special presentation, Korean fan dance, and panel discussion. Panelists include:

· Beth Ziebarth, moderator, Director of the Smithsonian Office of Visitor Accessibility

· Michelle Banks, Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Visionaries of the Creative Arts

· Yomi Young

Part of the American Women Quartersâ„¢ program, which celebrates the accomplishments and contributions made by women of the United States, the quarter honors Stacey Park Milbern as a visionary leader and powerful activist for disability justice. Born with physical disabilities, her life experiences led her to inspire and empower others, championing the belief that everyone is inherently valuable. She passionately advocated that each person has a crucial role to play and can create meaningful change.

Program partners include the United States Mint, the National Museum of American History, Access Smithsonian, Asian Pacific American Center, Disability Cultural Center – Georgetown University, and The American Association of People with Disabilities.
