Join us for an engaging panel discussion and musical exploration that traces the profound African roots connecting Colombian Cumbia and Washington, D.C.'s Go-Go music. This event celebrates the resilience, identity, and cultural continuity of Afro-diasporic communities across the Americas.

Insightful Panel Discussion: Musicians and cultural activists will delve into the historical and contemporary connections between these vibrant cultures and musical traditions.
Musical Demonstrations: Experience live samples showcasing the distinctive sounds of Cumbia and Go-Go with Yeison Landero from Colombia and The Experience Band from DC.
Interactive Jam Session: Witness the fusion and dialogue as musicians from both traditions collaborate.
Cultural Celebration: Explore how these art forms preserve historical memory, territorial identity, worldviews, and ancestral communication.
