Comedy Show for Pride & Immigrant Heritage!

Want one last chance to celebrate in June? Sure, the month might be winding down, but the double feature that is Pride Month & Immigrant Heritage Month should be celebrated to the fullest. Join Grassroots on June 28th as we share community and laughter with comedy by, for, and celebrating the region's LGBTQIA+ and immigrant communities. Let's come together for a night to let two communities that bring the most color into our lives shine, and share room for the fact that these communities have faced some of the biggest challenges and attacks in the recent administration change.

Featuring hilarious comics with lived experiences around LGBTQIA+ and immigrant identities, this showcase is not one to be missed!

For this showcase, we are partnering with Ayuda, the region’s leading provider of free legal, social and language access services to low-income immigrants from anywhere in the world. Since 1973, they have helped more than 150,000 low-income immigrants in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia access the services they need to thrive. Their comprehensive and welcoming approach transforms lives by reducing barriers, helping those in need, and strengthening communities. Support their work.

Proceeds from this show will help support the great work that Ayuda does for the regional immigrant community.
