Abbi Jean
Abbi Jean is an indie folk artist based in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Her biggest influences are Big Thief, Slowdive, and Phoebe Bridgers. She recently released her debut album, The Aftermath, along with three leading singles. Her band features Abbi Jean on vocals and guitar, Steven Londono on lead guitar, Xavier Fundalewicz on bass, and Sam McCasland on drums.
The Anticline
The Anticline is a Harrisonburg, Virginia based indie band featuring Holly Hazelwood, Sam Peterman, Grace Kelley, Hassan Ali, and Steven Londoño. The group recently released their resonant EP, One Year Older, featuring their debut single, “Fig Tree.” Known for memorable live performances at VA venues such as The Golden Pony and The Camel, they’ve quickly become a staple in the local music scene.
The Overlook
The Overlook formed at the University of Maryland in January 2024. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Patrick Scott, bassist Ryan Jaikeran, drummer Aditya Krishnamoorthy, guitarist Connor Kennedy, and guitarist Sean Wells. Starting out playing cover shows at dive bars around the Baltimore area, the band would slowly accrue a solid repertoire of original songs, ranging from barnburners like Ravens On The Wall to wistful pieces like October. The band would produce a taste of their dynamic live oeuvre with the live EP DC Demos, released November 8, 2024. From the Pearl Street Warehouse on DC’s waterfront to the iconic Ottobar in Baltimore, The Overlook has garnered a reputation for captivating performances throughout the DMV. They continue to perform regularly throughout the region, and are in the process of recording their debut studio album.
Paintdry
Paintdry is a three-piece indie rock band out of Baltimore, Maryland, with a collision of moody, groov,y and energetic sounds. They derive their influence from the early 2010s era indie bands such as Cage the Elephant, GROUPLOVE, The Strokes, Two Door Cinema Club, and Peach Pit. They just released their debut album, kiss//cry, containing their 3 singles, “Huddy Bolly”, “4 or 5 days”, and “easy way out”. Members include bassist Sean Wells, drummer Jon Reynolds, and rhythm guitarist/singer Josh Staalesen.
