Local Audition for Wagon Wheel Professional Theatre's 'Steel Magnolias'

🌸 We are excited to announce local auditions for Wagon Wheel Professional Theatre's production of 'Steel Magnolias' this July, directed by Brianna Borger (@busybrie)! We're seeking talented actors for the roles of Clairee and Ouiser: two strong, witty women with hearts of gold!

🗓️ Audition Date: Sunday, April 27th
🕒 Time: 3:00 PM
📍 Location: Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts (2515 E. Center St.)
💵 Pay: $300/week
🏠 Housing: No housing is provided. You must provide your own housing and be within driving distance for this contract.
🎭 Preparation: Please bring a recent photo of yourself and a resume if you have one. No audition prep is needed! You'll be performing cold readings from the script.

Character Descriptions:
🪮 Clairee (Age Range 50-60+) – Elegant, witty, and warm-hearted, Clairee is the former mayor’s wife who finds joy in her friendships and a love for good humor.
🪮 Ouiser (Age Range 50-60+) – Outspoken, eccentric, and lovable in her own rough-edged way, Ouiser is a force to be reckoned with but ultimately has a heart of gold.

🌸 Rehearsals begin July 4
💇‍♀️ Monday–Saturday: 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
💇‍♀️ Sunday: 1:00 PM–9:00 PM
🌸 Tech Rehearsals are July 14–July 16
🌸 Performances run July 17–26
