Are you ready to dig deep, get your hands dirty, and feel great? Join us for a day of fun, laughter, and a little bit of dirt as we invite you to our come and try volunteering day at the garden to mark the winter solstice!
We have the Green Futures Now youth crew on site as well to share some great information about how you can live more sustainably. They will be running hands-on workshops and activities to get you thinking about your waste and what you can do with it, as well as how you can grow native trees from seed to support local wildlife.
It's the shortest day of the year so pull yourself away from the couch, roll up your sleeves and help our garden flourish. We will warm you up with a hearty soup to reward your efforts. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or unsure which end of the shovel goes up, we welcome everyone with open arms.

Your efforts will literally help plants grow. We promise not to judge your gardening skills, as long as your enthusiastic we can find a job for you to do.
Make new friends who share your passion for the environment, plants, plus catch the occasional black cockatoo sighting.
You’ll earn a bowl of our delicious garden soup as well as some sweet treats! We'll sit down together, chat and share garden tales over lunch.
