An introductory course into traditional North American craft of rug hooking. Dating back to pioneer times, rug hooking recycles common materials into utilitarian objects for the home. This course will teach the original technique used in rug hooking and allow you to create beautiful textile art pieces that will brighten your floors and walls.

Each student will work with the Loop by Loop Studio design of their choosing. I will cover topics from the history of rug hooking, supplies and equipment, the stitches you need to execute, and finishing.
