Mondays from 5:45pm - 6.45pm join the skilled instructors from Hockey MD to learn all the skills required to play Ice Hockey.
Learn 2 Play is available to all ages, male and female. We have a wide range of ages who participate.
The group is split each week into four sections :
Grow the game
Skate the game
Play the game
Save the game
GROW THE GAME
Runs from 5.45pm to 6.15pm - $14.00 for junior kids under 10
SKATE THE GAME:
Beginners will focus on the remedial skills such as skating, backward skating, crossovers, stopping and basic stick handling. We have equipment available for loan during time in this section on the ice.
PLAY THE GAME
Developing players who have mastered the basics will be invited to move up where they will tackle more advanced techniques such as shooting, defending, attacking, passing drills and advanced techniques. Full gear is required to participate in this section.
SAVE THE GAME
Dedicated training for goal tenders with coaches who currently play for the Newcastle Northstars AIHL team.
Time Mondays from 5:45pm to 6:45pm (players are advised to arrive half an hour early so that they are ready to get on the ice at 5:45)
Ice Hockey Development is for all ages and skill levels - but please note Ice Hockey Development runs during school terms only.
COST
$24 per week -OR-
$200 for 10 weeks.
