Celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day with us Friday 19 September.
Don your best pirate gear and join us for a fun, family friendly paddle on your own kayak, canoe or stand-up paddleboard.
Limited supplies will be available from our local tourism partners Trinity Point and Water Sports Central. Additionally, Water Sports Central will have water bikes available for a fun new way to experience the lake.
The event includes a pirate-themed treasure hunt, free sausage sizzle (for the first 500 people or until we run out) and entertainment by our resident Pirate Captain - the Pretty Amazing Jono.
To participate in the paddle you will need:
- Proficiency of swimming
- Must have a life jacket
- BYO equipment must be sea-worthy
- To attend the safety briefing prior to getting into the water (safety briefing at 7.30am prior to launch)
- Observe the instructions of Lake Mac staff
Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or a first-time buccaneer, our Lake Mac Lifeguards will be onsite to support our paddlers.
This event is supported by Trinity Marina, Water Sports Central, Showtime Kayaking and Valentine Lions Club.
