NEWCASTLE LAUNCH OF “BUBSIE & THE BOYS”

You're invited to attend the Newcastle book launch of “Bubsie and the Boys” - written by David Riley.

Bubsie and the Boys is the much-anticipated telling of the first ever car to circle Australia in 1925. When two young lads set off in a vehicle borrowed from a family member a century ago, they had no maps, no petrol stations, and no paved roads - just a sense of faith and adventure. Oh, and they had a tiny car they nicknamed Bubsie.

The two boys weren’t even intending to lap Australia. They were being sent on an errand by their church.... and just kept driving.

A hundred years later, Bubsie is now housed at the National Museum of Australia as a testament to Aussie grit, determination, and adventure.

Join us at Wallsend Adventist Church on Saturday, 13th of September (5pm arrival). David Riley will share how the book came to be written, and how this project is supporting charities that help children with cancer.

There will food, books for sale, and the opportunity to have the book signed by the author.
