Owl in the Sun play a home-grown blend of self-penned americana and gypsy-jazz influenced songs. From the heart-warming to the dark and edgy, the gentle toe-tapping to the downright dance your socks off. Expect infectious melodies and luscious vocal harmonies over a line up of upright bass, acoustic guitars, accordion, fiddle and flute.
Members Colin Cain (guitar, vocals), Cathy Crozier-Cole (double bass, flute, vocals), Kate Bridge (fiddle, vocals), Tim Crozier-Cole (guitar, vocals) and Damon Bridge (accordion, percussion) have been making music together since 2009, and have recently been joined by Tom Cain on percussion. They've have performed at festivals all over their native West Country, as well as receiving airplay on BBC Radio 1 and 2 and being selected to perform on the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury Festival.
The Owls have released three albums, 'Dog Days Of Summer' (2021), 'Black House' (2012) and 'Outside The City Way Of Things' (2009), along with two EPs 'Graveyard Tree' (2017) and 'Tales of the Black House' (2011).
