DASH - 'an act of running somewhere suddenly and hastily'
This route is a very hilly 8.8 miles, out and back in nature with a flatter return leg for those who wish it after giving the Smugglers path their best attention with a timed 'DASH'.
2700ft/ 820 m of climbing and descending, you are ready for a stiff challenge of downhill running and uphill power hiking. As stated above, an easy predominantly downhill 'escape' route back to Lulworth if you wish to spin the legs home once the Smugglers path is accomplished.
The Smugglers path 'DASH' section is a climb of 470ft over approx 0.5 mile. Give it your best shot and set a time. Keep in mind you have to get back!
Approx time on feet 2hrs 30 mins.
The Autumn will be in full swing with unpredictable underfoot conditions. Trail shoes that are providing you a confident and assured grip essential.
Dress accordingly with enough drink and calories to support your inevitable deficit that will be self inflicted.
This run is social in nature, no one is left behind. At the same time, there will be moments where autonomy is essential and part of the philosophy that Madmule presents. Building experience, self confidence and self awareness in environments that you may not have chosen to go to on your own. However once experienced with a group, breaks the barrier in your brain that it is possible to step out, solo, into a challenging and isolated playground.
Other than that... any questions DO NOT HESITATE to drop a message. ;-)
