Join us for an all day art camp focussing on Art Journaling!
Our Art Journaling workshop day has been designed to give children a flavour of mixed media art, where they will get to create art in their very own Pink Pig Sketchbook .
Our friendly and popular tutor, ex Chair of Southern Maltings, Fiona Martin from @fizzyflowerdesigns, will guide each child through a journey of turning a blank sketch book into an amazing work of art, using a variety of mediums to include pens, pencils, paint, collage, stencils, die cuts and recycled materials.
Each child will complete at least 5 pages of their journal using a variety of techniques, with the idea that they will be excited to continue their art journey once at home, or maybe would like to join us again on another course to learn more!
We will also be having fun making some Artist Trading Cards (ATC’s). These are small pieces of art that can be traded for “free”. In our afternoon session we will be using lots of lovely mixed media to embellish and create 9 Artist Trading Cards. Each child will receive a special folder designed to hold 18 ATC’s and there will be an opportunity to swap (trade) designs with all the others in the workshop and of course the workshop tutor!
Book your kids on to spend the day in a relaxed environment with no TV, phones or computer games to distract you. This is a project that can be continued at home or join us again on another course to learn lots more techniques!
