Step into the soulful soundscape of Minas Gerais, Brazil – the birthplace of some of the most expressive and influential music in the world. The Minas Project is an uplifting and heartfelt tribute led by internationally renowned drummer and vocalist Davide Giovannini, celebrating the spirit and artistry of musical legends like Milton Nascimento, Toninho Horta, Beto Guedes, and Lo Borges.
What began as a spark of inspiration through Davide’s collaborations with Brazilian icons has blossomed into a stunning live experience. From working with Toninho Horta and Yuri Popoff to recording in Brazil and soaking in the culture and rhythm of the region, Davide’s journey has culminated in a collection of original songs that channel the unmistakable Minas vibe – rich harmonies, lush melodies, and irresistible groove.
Joining Davide on stage is an all-star lineup:
Neil Angilley – piano & keyboards
Paul Booth – saxes, flute, bass clarinet, keyboards
Guillermo Hill – electric & acoustic guitars
Davide Mantovani – electric bass

The event is being held on the first floor of the Southern Maltings building. Please check with the event organisers if using stairs is problematic. Southern Maltings is the trading name of Ware Arts Centre Limited and is a registered charity (Registered charity no. 276998).
