UIHC Stead Family poke prize lemonade stand and toy drive

The twins will be doing a lemonade stand with all the proceeds going to the Child Life Department at the UIHC Stead Family Children’s Hospital. All proceeds from the stand will go to a shopping day with my 3 kiddos where we buy “poke prizes” to then donate. Poke/ procedure prizes are items that kiddos at the hospital receive when they are going through something painful or scary. They have gotten Harper through 7 years of medical trauma and so many kids benefit from it. Along with the lemonade stand we will have a bin there to collect items for poke prizes, donate an item if you wish, but you don’t have to!

Ideas for items if you DO choose to donate!

Think boy and girl
All ages (age 1-18)
NEW items in original packaging
Small-ish in size so child life can store them

Ideas. Crafts, toys, health and beauty products, legos, barbies, LOL dolls, coloring books, scrunchies, hair brushes, fake stick on nails, little monster trucks, paw patrol toys, Pokémon cards, cheap ear buds, football cards, pop sockets, jewelry, picture frames, water bottles, etc etc etc

And if you don’t bring an item, no biggy! Get a cup of lemonade and we will take the proceeds and do the shopping for you!
