Francesca Cuzzoni Haendel’s first Cleopatra and Rodelinda was one of the most famous sopranos of the Baroque period — not to mention the famous rival of Faustina Bordoni the wife of Johann Hasse. During our musical archaeology we have researched some of her lesser-known roles for your listening pleasure.
