🌿 He Hapori Hangi – Opening Our Community Hangi Pit🌿

We’re proud to celebrate 10 years of Love and Learn in Whanganui East by coming together with Hakeke Street Community Centre to open our brand new community hangi pit— a space built for us all to gather, share kai, and strengthen whanaungatanga within our community.
This special event marks more than just the opening of the hangi pit it’s about bringing our community together, acknowledging our past, and setting goals for the future. The hangi pit is a symbol of connection, whakawhanaungatanga, and the collective effort that makes our community strong.

After the opening, we’ll enjoy a shared meal from the very first hangi prepared with aroha for everyone to enjoy. 💛

Puanga celebrations will also be held leading up to this event throughout June with daily activities at HSCC come along, get involved, and be part of something special.
