Guided Hike Summer Series 3: Research Discovery Hike

Join Conservation Nebraska and Prairie Pines for our Guided Hike Summer Series! As the summer winds down and students prepare to return to school, it is the perfect time to learn about some of the research occurring onsite at Prairie Pines. This month will feature a slightly longer hike as we venture out to the research plots north of the Welcome Center.

This series is recommended for ages 8+, but is open to all ages. Make sure to dress accordingly with the weather for the day and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during our hike.

This series will be led by Cian Hassovic. Cian has been serving as an AmeriCorps member with Conservation Nebraska since September 2023. Previously, she was the Education Manager at a sustainable urban agriculture nonprofit in Omaha, where she managed and led nature and gardening workshops for a variety of ages and backgrounds. She earned the title of Certified Nebraska Master Naturalist in February 2023 and has been a volunteer with Prairie Pines since April of the same year.
