Level 1:
This introduction to zouk will introduce common patterns, history, connection, rhythm, music, structure, and basic concepts used in lead and follow. Most dancers should take this course twice before taking level 2. Students who have taken this course more than 2 times can take level 1 for free while taking level 2 at the same time.
Level 2:
Each session this course will focus on a different aspect of fundamental zouk movements beyond beginner movements with an emphasis on connection, frame, and timing. This series is typically taken multiple times, somewhere around one or two years.
Introduction to Head Movement (3-month commitment):
This 3-month course introduces several foundational zouk movements, including balao, rollinho, and tilted turns. This course is to be taken simultaneously with level 2. This course will be repeated multiple times to allow students to develop comfort and flexibility with head motion.
