We are throwing open our lovely Te Manawa Toi | Coastlands Gallery to offer a month of events which celebrate art and culture in all its myriad forms. There are events for all ages and all interests, so get out this Matariki to experience, make, enjoy and explore.

Experience community singing, kapa haka, tā moko and speech-making Make: a paper or woven Matariki star, an ikebana arrangement, a life drawing of a violinist, a sashiko stitch piece or a foraged basket Enjoy: quiz night, ethereal music, kaupapa-driven songs and waiata, modern jive and silent disco, film screening with Dame Gaylene Preston, Taste, Imbibe, Enjoy fundraising evening Explore: the work of Frances Hodgkins, benefits of seaweed and Japanese textiles

Any funds raised support Toi MAHARA to continue to deliver high quality exhibitions and public programming for the Kāpiti community.
