Tysdag 17. juni 19.00 blir det konsert i Fjelly Kulturverkstad i Borlaug. Konserten vil bestå av låttar i brytninga mellom aust og vest, musikk som har vandra, samt improvisasjonar inspirert av vandringa Gjennom Borlaug.
Gjesteartist/vert: Tom Karlsrud. Tom er ein trekkspelar som har jobba grundig med å overføre slåttespel frå hardingfele til trekkspel. Har jobba med alt frå samspel med Håkon Høgemo, kulturskuleundervisning, plateproduksjon og opptak og konsertering. Fjelly er kulturverkstaden hans.

I år er det 240 år sidan spelemannen Lars M. Krøsshaug (1785-1830) vart født og i juni pakkar Sivert Holmen fele og telt i sekken og legg ut på ein vandreturné i fotefara hans. Krøsshaugen var heilt sentral i utviklinga av den særeigne musikken lydarlæte, lyttemusikk, i ei tid kor hardingfelespelet elles berre var i bruk til dans eller seremoni. Gjennom sju dagar går Sivert dei 110 km frå Kvamskleiva i Vang i Valdres langs Kongevegen over Filefjell og til Lærdalsøyri. Turen blir fylt med felelæte og livsfilosofering. Undervegs vil det også dukke opp forskjellige gjesteartistar. Kva kan vi lære av spelemennene som levde, reiste og jobba for to hundreår sidan? Korleis vil vi leve liva våre? Kva kan vi lytte oss fram til på vandring

Tuesday, June 17th at 7:00 PM, there will be a concert at Fjelly Kulturverkstad in Borlaug. The concert will feature tunes blending the east and west, music that has traveled, and improvisations inspired by the journey through Borlaug.
Guest artist/host: Tom Karlsrud. Tom is a accordionist who has worked extensively on transferring traditional fiddle tunes from the Hardanger fiddle to the accordion. He has worked on everything from collaborations with Håkon Høgemo, teaching at the cultural school, album production and recording, to performing concerts. Fjelly is his cultural workshop.

This year marks the 240th anniversary of the birth of fiddler Lars M. Krøsshaug (1785-1830), and in June, Sivert Holmen will pack his fiddle and tent and set out on a tour retracing his footsteps. Krøsshaugen was central to the development of the unique music style lydarlæte, or listening music, at a time when Hardanger fiddle music was primarily used for dance or ceremonies. Over seven days, Sivert will travel the 110 km from Kvamskleiva in Vang, Valdres, along the King's Road over Filefjell to Lærdalsøyri. The journey will be filled with fiddling and philosophical reflections on life. Along the way, various guest artists will also appear. What can we learn from the fiddlers who lived, traveled, and worked two hundred years ago? How do we want to live our lives? What can we discover through listening during our journey?
