Reading Together: A Sky That Sings

Children in grades K-3 with caregivers are invited to join local author and science educator, Anita Sanchez, as we read and discuss her new book, "A Sky That Sings." Mia is spending a sunny afternoon at the park bird-listening! Some people enjoy bird-watching, but as a blind person, Mia uses her other senses to identify different birds by their unique calls and songs. She calls it bird-listening. After reading the book, we'll listen to some recorded bird conversations and learn to identify some common birdcalls. Each child attendee will receive a copy of the book. Please register.
