Join our Black Run Ambassadors as we identify the buds, leaves, and flowers of over 20 different trees in the Black Run Preserve. We will hike approximately 2-3 miles on hard and soft sand, slight elevations, roots, and stumps and some wet areas. Porta Potty is available at the beginning and end of the hike.
DATE: Saturday, June 14, 2025
TIME: 10:00am to 12:00pm (Meet at the welcome table at 9:30 am to check in.)
WHERE TO MEET: Kettle Run Road East Trailhead Entrance. This is the main trailhead for Black Run Preserve.
WHAT TO WEAR: Dress for the weather and bring a water bottle. Protect yourself from the sun and bugs. Hiking boots, sturdy shoes, or waterproof boots are recommended.
DETAILS: This is a social/informational hike to familiarize participants with the trails of the Black Run Preserve and the Friends of the Black Run Preserve community
