Σας προσκαλούμε την Τετάρτη 24 Σεπτεμβρίου 2025, στις 19μμ, στη συμπλήρωση δύο ετών από τις καταστροφικές πλημμύρες Daniel/Elias, στο Μουσείο της Πόλης του Βόλου για την προβολή ενός σύντομου βίντεο-χρονικού (σκηνοθεσία: Χρήστος Σχοινάς) από την έκθεση Ιχνηλατήσεις Πλημμύρας (2 Απριλίου – 9 Μαΐου 2025). H έκθεση διοργανώθηκε στο ίδιο μουσείο από διεπιστημονική ομάδα κοινωνικών ανθρωπολόγων, αρχιτεκτόνων, γεωγραφών, καλλιτεχνών και ακτιβιστών. Ο σκοπός της συνάντησης είναι διττός: (1) να γίνει αποτίμηση και ανατροφοδότηση σχετικά με την έκθεση ως δημόσια παρέμβαση στη συνεχιζόμενη μετα-πλημμυρική συνθήκη καθώς και πιθανές μελλοντικές δράσεις και (2) να ανακοινωθεί η ίδρυση του Διαχρονικού και Εμπειρικού Παρατηρητηρίου Τοπίου των Τμημάτων Αρχιτεκτόνων Μηχανικών (ΤΑΜ) και Ιστορίας, Αρχαιολογίας και Κοινωνικής Ανθρωπολογίας (ΙΑΚΑ) του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας.
H έκθεση Ιχνηλατήσεις Πλημμύρας συνδιοργανώθηκε από μέλη του Τμήματος Ιστορίας, Αρχαιολογίας και Κοινωνικής Ανθρωπολογίας (ΙΑΚΑ) και του Τμήματος Αρχιτεκτόνων Μηχανικών (ΤΑΜ) του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας, το Pelion Summer Lab (PSL) for Cultural Theory and Experimental Humanities και τον Εικαστικό Σύλλογο Βόλου (ΕΣΒ), με τη βοήθεια του προσωπικού του Μουσείου της Πόλης του Βόλου. The Future of the Floods: Screening & Open Discussion
Join us on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 19:00, at the Museum of the City of Volos, for the screening of a short video-chronicle (dir. Christos Schoinas) from the exhibition Floodmarks (April 2 – May 9, 2025). The exhibition was organized at the same venue by an interdisciplinary team of social anthropologists, architects, geographers, artists, and activists.
The event has a twofold aim: to reflect on and gather feedback on the exhibition as a public intervention within the continuing afterlives of the flood, as well as to discuss possible future actions; and to announce the establishment of the Diachronic and Experiential Landscape Observatory at the University of Thessaly’s Department of Architecture (TAM) and Department of History, Archaeology and Social Anthropology (IAKA).
Floodmarks was co-organized by members of the Department of History, Archaeology and Social Anthropology (IAKA) and the Department of Architecture (TAM) of the University of Thessaly, the Pelion Summer Lab (PSL) for Cultural Theory and Experimental Humanities and the Volos Art Association, with assistance from the staff of the Museum of the City of Volos.
