The Keynote Speaker's Bio:

Malique Hawkins AKA Liq from the Peake is from Chesapeake, VA, but currently resides in Memphis, Tennessee where he works as an Account Executive for the NBA, specifically the Memphis Grizzlies. Malique is also a mentor through the Memphis Grizzlies' Mentoring Program.

In May 2023, Malique graduated with a host of accolades from North Carolina A & T State University, in Greensboro, NC, with a Bachelor of Science in business management with a concentration in innovation and entrepreneurship. In 2019, Malique made national news for having over 1.2 million dollars in academic scholarships as a graduate of Grassfield High School in Chesapeake, VA. This led to him attending North Carolina A & T on a full scholarship.

Malique is a Black Men Rock Image Award recipient, a motivational speaker, songwriter, voiceover artist, the founder-CEO of The Movement Clothing (birthed in May 2017 to take a stand against bullying, suicide, racism, and violence), and a professional actor with 21 years of varied experience in stage, television, film, and print.

Liq from the Peake is a clean music artist who uses his music to bridge the gap across generations. He is also the Co-founder of the Hot 10 Music Group which gives student-artists the opportunity to hone their craft while continuing their educational endeavors in college. Liq from the Peake’s music is available on all music platforms (Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, etc.) under Liq from the Peake.

Each age group (9-11) (12-14) and (15-18) will have a championship team. A $2.00 donation is requested to contribute to continued community efforts.

On January 21, 2013, Hadiya Pendleton marched in President Obama’s second inaugural parade. One week later, Hadiya was shot and killed on a playground in Chicago. Soon after this tragedy, Hadiya’s friends commemorated her life by wearing orange, the same color hunters wear in the woods to protect themselves and others.

Wearing ORANGE honors Hadiya, the other 125 people shot and killed every day in the United States, hundreds more who are wounded, and the countless others whose lives have been changed by gun violence. Wear Orange with us on June 6th-8th 2025, to honor survivors, those who have lost their lives, and to take a STAND against violence.
