Instructor: Anna V. Freeman
Get inspired by the art on view in our galleries, and work with exhibiting artist Anna Freeman to create your own hand-built and wheel-thrown ceramic objects with texture!
We’ll begin by exploring the exhibition Where We Meet and discussing the artwork together. Then, we’ll move into the studio to design and build our own textured ceramic pieces.
Freeman will offer demonstrations and individualized instruction on both wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques, as well as surface design methods to enhance texture. With expert guidance, you’ll choose the techniques that suit your vision best.
All materials are provided. Works created during this class will be kiln- and glaze-fired. Students will be contacted by the Museum for later pickup of finished artworks.
Level: All levels welcome
Members $215; Nonmembers $230
