Prof. Dr. Rudi Roose lecture "Writing for international publications"

Mykolas Romeris University invites you to the lecture “Writing for international publications“ by Professor Dr. Rudi Roose from the Ghent University on 22 October 2025, 4.15-5.45 pm, room L-101 (MRU, Didlaukio str. 55, Vilnius).

Rudi Roose is a pedagogue and criminologue and professor of Social Work and head of The Department of Social Work & Social Pedagogy. His research interest is the development of critical social work practices with people in vulnerable situations, also in relation to punitive contexts. He is Editor in Chief of the European Journal of Social Work and Chair of The International Social Work and Society Academy (TiSSA).
In this session, we discuss the publication culture in universities and explain how editors of international journals assess article submissions and offer practical tips for getting published. Researchers gain insights into what makes a strong article, common pitfalls to avoid, and strategies for aligning their work with journal expectations to improve their chances of acceptance
