Acro Yoga is a partnered movement practice that combines elements of yoga, partner acrobatics, and sometimes therapeutics like Thai massage and partner stretching. Also called L-base partner acro, the base lays on the ground with the flyer balanced on their feet.
At first glance, sure, it maybe seems a bit strange. But once you get past that, Acro Yoga has many of incredible benefits. Like any movement practice, it's a great way to build strength, stability, flexibility and balance. But the partnered element means you're also working on soft skills, like communication, trust, confidence, and self expression.
In these Acro Yoga classes, we'll always be working in groups of 3 or more, with a base, a flyer and a spotter for safety. No partner is required.
Beginner Acro Yoga Level 1: Thursdays, 7:10 pm
• no pre-reqs, no experience required
Intermediate Acro Yoga Level 2: Thursdays, 8:20 pm
• pre-reqs: bird, side star, high star, cartwheels
