Activity Name: Cosmic Creators 8-Week Youth Art Journey

Program Dates: April 18 & 25, May 2, 9, 16, 23, & 30, June 6
Activity Description: Join us in learning the fundamentals of realistic pencil drawing and oil painting during this 8-week youth art program. In the first half of the workshop, students will be taught the basics of drawing including composition and how to shade, draw from life using photographs, and add texture with pencil. During the second half, participants will be introduced to oil painting. Topics and techniques will include proper surface preparation, basic drawing and composition, color theory and mixing, using painting mediums and thinners, and fundamental brush strokes and paint application. Oil paintings take time to create and dry, so projects will likely take more than one session to complete.

More Information: We offer unique 8-week art programs for children throughout the year. Our Cosmic Creators programs are geared for adolescent children wishing to explore the world of art. We teach simple and fun projects to them that encourage self expression, education, and fundamental art skills. They will learn a variety of art mediums in these programs with a wonderful instructor.
This age group is so creative and their imaginations are limitless. We encourage them to express their own unique imaginations and teach them how to do it with art. We may paint with brushes or hands, draw with crayons, markers and more. We may also explore other forms of art. We often include educational pieces into our programs to help expand the mind as well as the heart.
The main goal is to foster expressive creativity and build self-confidence all while having fun. We help them to grow and use their wonderful imaginations in an unlimited way.
Price: The cost of the program is $225 for non-members and $200 for members. Ask how to become a member.
Drop-in price per session: $35 each
Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Our 8-Week Programs are a part of our Choose Your Own Price Program. For families who require a discounted price, please contact the studio directly and we will help you set up a plans that suits your family's current financial needs. We turn no child away unless the class is full.
This program is funded through our Free Art for Kids Program that we run with The Bundy Museum of Art and History. If there are no funds available there, then the owners of Stilettos pay out of pocket for your child to attend if you need help. We trust that people are honest and truly will pay what they can afford. We are honored to teach your children and we thank you for allowing us to help in this way.
