An evening of poetry, film, and community. 🎬✨
On Saturday, March 14 from 6–9 PM, Trinity United Church invites you to a free screening of Andrea Gibson's documentary Come See Me in the Good Light (Apple TV+), followed by an open mic poetry evening featuring local Vernon poets.
This screening is part of our P.I.E. Day celebration — marking one year as an official 2SLGBTQIA+ Affirming Church — and we couldn't think of a more moving way to close the evening than with Andrea Gibson's powerful story.
Andrea Gibson is one of the most celebrated spoken word poets of our time. Come See Me in the Good Light is an intimate documentary that follows their journey through a cancer diagnosis with fierce love, radical honesty, and breathtaking poetry.
The evening includes:
