Painting With Felt: Wildflower Wimsy

Create this needle-felted wool painting that captures the enchanting beauty of a spring wildflower meadow, crafted using locally sourced fiber!

Swirls of soft blues, purples, and greens blend together to create a dreamy, textured landscape, where delicate blossoms sway beneath a vast, cloud-brushed sky. If you have never tried needle-felting, this project is easy & fun! All materials and use of tools will be provided along with step-by-step instructions in this half-day workshop. Materials used include felting needles, wool batting & roving, natural fiber locks, and a wool-based backing. Basic art principles, including using color and composition to create perspective, will be reviewed. Follow along with Lori or, alternatively, students are free to bring their own idea for a wool painting or modify this scene ~ Lori Neumann, the instructor, will bring a variety of fiber so please email or text a photo ahead of time if you need specific colors brought in for class. The finished project will be approximately 8 X 10 and can be framed with your own frame under glass or without!
