Martin Kember, (former lead singer of Color Me Badd) has toured with Prince’s New Power Generation (NPG) as a guest vocalist, paying tribute to our purple icon, PRINCE. DJ Alphonso Starr of the Bay Area is well known for his iconic purple parties in Minneapolis and the annual “Love Sexy Cruise” Once again the two are teaming up to bring you “Purple Musicology” along with Martin’s world class 10 piece band. Purple music all night either while Alphonso spends or the band plays,. This is for the true purple people, so expect the long versions, b-sides, bootlegs, and album tracks. The band features some of the best musicians in LA who tour with Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, the Jacksons, and more.
