Vejle Reads // Shared Reading

Join us for an hour of Shared Reading – a unique way to experience literature together.

A trained facilitator from Vejle Libraries reads aloud from carefully selected English-language texts – short stories, poetry or excerpts from novels – while you listen, reflect and, if you feel like it, join the conversation.

No preparation or prior knowledge is needed, and there are no wrong answers – just open dialogue and shared thoughts, sparked by the literature itself.

Everyone is welcome, whether you're fluent in English or just want to practise in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Vejle Reads is an English-language literary community open to both internationals and Danes. Whether you're new in town or simply love reading in English, Vejle Reads invites you to explore literature and meet others through activities such as Shared Reading sessions, author talks, book walks and a networking day for readers looking to join or start a book club.
