Join Kathy Downs on Saturday, Sept. 6th from 1:00 to 4:00 to make 2 Fused Glass Votive Candle Holders in your own design choice.
Make two (2) fused glass votive candle holders using a variety of materials - glass stringers, glass noodles, glass pebbles, glass dots, millefiori, frit lace, and pre-cut shapes (all 96 COE). You determine your own design.
Materials will include festive fall colors and shapes.
All inclusive price includes two kiln cycles, first for a full flat fusion and the second to slump into the votive candle holder shape.
Approximately 2 weeks after class Kathy will call or text you when your projects are ready to pick up. ARTworks Vass will hold your projects for 90 days with monthly notifications by text or phone. If you haven't requested an extension or picked up your work within 90 days, your project will be disposed of at the gallery's discretion.
Kathy Downs discovered her passion for glass art in 2011 when she and her family moved to the Quantico, VA area. Initially her small glass pieces were unique gifts for family and friends but as her collection and skills grew, she started selling her glass to fund her "glass" habit! She now creates both large and small fused glass in her home-based studio and with 38 years of eduction experience, she is excited to teach and mentor aspiring glass artists through her fused glass classes at ARTworks Vass!
Important Information:
Beginners are welcome.
Children age 14 and older may attend class independently.
Children under age 14 may join this class if a responsible adult also registers to attend and participate with them.
Registration allows for one Guest per class project.
Only Registered Guests may attend class.
Registrations are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
Class starts promptly as scheduled.
Dress to mess or bring an apron.
Closed toe shoes are recommended.
At ARTworks Vass, you're always welcome to bring your own Nibbles and Sips to class.
