Create Your Own Stained Glass Dragonfly with Kathy Schroeder

Ready to spread your creative wings? In this focused stained glass workshop, you'll learn how to create a beautiful dragonfly sun catcher—perfect for building both your confidence and your skills in glass artistry.
Kathy Schroeder will guide you step-by-step through the stained glass process, including pattern layout, safe tool handling, glass cutting, grinding, and foiling. You’ll work hands-on throughout the morning, gaining practical experience and techniques that you can build on for future projects.
No experience necessary! This class is designed to help beginners develop foundational skills in a fun and supportive environment. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to learn!
After class, Kathy will take care of the final soldering, and your finished dragonfly will be ready for pickup within approximately a week.
Kathy has been visiting North Carolina since 1998 and has taken art classes at ARTworks Vass with each visit. Her first experience was a Paverpol sculpture class followed by a stained-glass class—an experience that sparked her love for glass art. Since then, Kathy has dedicated herself to learning stained glass techniques. Now retired and living in North Carolina full time, she plans to continue pursuing her passion for stained glass and sharing her skills with others.
Important Information:
Beginners are welcome.
Children age 14 and older may attend class independently.
Registration allows for one Guest per class project.
Only Registered Guests may attend class.
Registrations are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
Class starts promptly as scheduled.
Dress to mess or bring an apron.
At ARTworks Vass, you're always welcome to bring your own Nibbles and Sips to class.
