This monthly event features 25 DJ's of all levels, from the most experienced performers to the freshest. We are giving anyone and everyone the opportunity to play on club standard gear, in a club environment, surrounded by their community.

What's more, we're here to back you up!

Our experienced mentors will be on site & on stage to help with everything, from technical troubleshooting, mixing in, tempo control, or just plugging in your USB. These mentors have experience as DJ's, producers, performers, curators, event hosts, touring artists etc etc and will be there to answer any questions you might have.

This is not your average open decks or club night, this is a place to learn, grow, experiment, and make mistakes in the most exciting ways. At Vancouver Open Decks there's no pressure to be perfect.

Our space will always be judgement free, and no bad vibes. We encourage networking and community connection. Keep all comments & criticism constructive, and always make sure your feedback is wanted. Some people will be on stage to master their mixes, and some will just want to play, respect the energy. Negative behaviors or acting out in ways that don't align with our values will not be tolerated.

You never know who's out in the audience at V.O.D so we encourage you to mingle, with other DJ's as well as industry professionals such as promoters, event producers, venue reps etc.
