Join us for a lively Summer Open House at the Gallery! This community event invites visitors of all ages to experience an inspiring afternoon of culture, creativity, and connection in the heart of downtown Vancouver.
👉 Explore our major exhibition 'Kihl ‘Yahda Christian White: Master Haida Artist', a retrospective that showcases the extraordinary work of acclaimed Haida artist Christian White. The exhibition features an impressive range of carvings, masks, jewelry, and regalia, offering insight into White’s lifelong artistic practice and cultural knowledge.
🙌 Enjoy live artist demonstrations by Aleen Sparrow (Musqueam) and Kwiis Hamilton (Hupačasath/Leq’a\:mel). Aleen will demonstrate traditional weaving techniques and share the cultural teachings that inform her work.
🎨 Participate in family-friendly activities, explore our curated children's library, and spend time in the Hummingbird Gathering Space, a welcoming environment for learning and creativity.
