Why "Pride Not Police"?
Police continue to target and harm queer and trans people, especially Black, Indigenous, and low-income members of our communities. Pride began as a protest against this violence. Across the province, police are using Pride festivals to recruit and rebrand, while still actively criminalizing and harming the most vulnerable among us. Cops don't belong at our celebrations.
