It's a Pride mashup! We are holding a mini Pride Speed Friending (theatre-style) with queer author readings from our friends at Plenitude Magazine. Are you looking to expand your circle of queer friends? Celebrate Pride all year round by bringing your favourite book, graphic novel, DVD, podcast, blog or zine to discuss at this fun, casual, in-person event. Lightning rounds of 6 minutes each will allow you to meet potential new friends and have interesting conversations.
At 6:30pm, hear local contributors from Plenitude Magazine (your queer literary magazine) read their poetry and prose. Readers include: Cayenne Bradley, Jane Shi (Echolalia Echolalia), David Ly (Mythical Man, Dream of Me as Water and co-editor of Queer Little Nightmares: An Anthology of Monstrous Fiction and Poetry), Harry McKeown, Mezi, Alex Leslie (Vancouver for Beginners and We All Need to Eat) and Devon Rae. This event is curated by managing editor, Patrick Grace (Deviant).
