CBC wants to interview us...again!
This time Rachel Sanders from CBC would like to interview families in this group for the WHAT ON EARTH, CBC's national climate solutions show.
She is hoping to interview families with small children that use cycling for recreation or commuting, or anything really.
She will be taking photos and videos, but the priority is audio. If you are not comfortable with being in photos or videos, just let us know as you can definitely still come out, have fun and support the event.
Rachel has asked if we could have a meetup on a weekday during working hours, so we'll do it on Monday, July 28th at 3:30pm at the usual meetup location, L'Ecole Bilingue Elementary (1166 W 14 Avenue).
WHO SHOULD COME?
Anyone in this group that has seen their child grow a new love for cycling. The child can be any age really. Bonus points if your child has motivated you to get cycling more or has been dragging you out of the house to take them riding.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
Starting at 3:30pm, we'll have the bike obstacles out at the school yard for kids to enjoy with some treats left over from our last event, and of course music too! But we won't have the decorating materials out this time.
At about 4:30pm, we'll gear up and roll off to Rain or Shine ice cream, with families that are comfortable of course. It's a very easy 1.6km ride eastbound along W 14 Ave to Heather Street, then south to W 18 Ave and then a few blocks to the 18th & Cambie Plaza. Once there we'll lock up our bikes and raid Rain or Shine for some of their delicious treats!
If families are not comfortable riding with us, you are more than welcome to hop in your car and meet us there! That works too!
As usual, if you have any questions, please drop them in the comments below!
