Cory Weeds is an expressive saxophonist whose warm, impactful sound is firmly rooted in jazz tradition. Jazz aficionados know that Weeds keeps the flame of classic swing burning bright in Vancouver and beyond. With more than 20 dynamic albums as a leader, Weeds fearlessly embraces hard-swinging tunes and gentle ballads, and always delivers performances that shine. He’s shared stages and studios with Bill Charlap, Joey DeFrancesco, Champian Fulton, Roy McCurdy, and many other jazz masters.
Since moving to New York in 2019, Tyler Henderson has established himself as one of that city’s most sought-after pianists, playing with a maturity and depth that belies his youth. While attending Julliard, Henderson began to work with legends like Joe Magnarelli, Rodney Green, and Grant Stewart. His debut as a leader, Love Endures, has just come out on the Cellar Music label, following Henderson’s numerous album appearances as a sideman with contemporaries Keiran Brown, Jacob Chung, and Brandon Suarez.
