About the event

Circling: A Relational Meditation
Encounter yourself and others in the present moment.

About this Event

Do you yearn for a deeper connection with yourself and others? Do you desire to be seen, heard, and embraced in your authenticity, while offering this to others? Do you wish to feel more confident speaking up and making your voice heard in your daily life and relationships?

Join us for an evening of embracing authenticity through a relational meditation practice known as Circling.

What is Circling?

Circling is a relational meditation in which participants share their authentic present-moment experience (sensations, emotions, and thoughts) while in connection with each other. As each person brings their attention to the present moment and reveals their experience in relation to the Circle, awareness of a unique and ever-shifting consciousness is experienced.

What is the Impact of Circling?

The practice of Circling helps develop self-awareness in relationship to others and builds the inner capacity of sharing your in-the-moment experience. This can be deeply liberating and empowering within the circle and in your daily life.

Location

We will be meeting at a private residence in the Kits Point area. Specific location will be in the confirmation email received when signing up. For those of you that have attended in the past, this is our usual location.

No One Turned Away For Lack of Funds (NOTAFLF)

Circling is an inclusive relational practice, and the ticketing prices help support location expenses, as well as honouring the time and energy of those organizing and supporting this practice. If you are in a situation where you cannot afford the ticket price for attendance, please reach out, and we would be happy to offer a complimentary ticket.

A Note on Trauma and Trauma-Informed Practices

As Circling falls within the realm of inter-relational communication and authenticity, it is important to note that Circling is not inherently a trauma-informed practice and is not therapy. Circles are considered brave spaces - not safe spaces - because they present an opportunity to experiment revealing aspects of your experience that are normally hidden and discovering the impact that has on others. Every Circle is different and can hold the full range of human experience: from grief, anger, and judgment, to attraction, playfulness, and appreciation.

A foundational agreement of Circling is that while practicing, we are not here to help, change, fix, or heal one another, only to reveal our experience in relationship with one another and be with what is. While that can be a healing experience, it can just as easily be activating, and noticing that activation and sharing with ownership is welcomed.

Jonathan Bluks

Jonathan has been on a journey of personal and spiritual growth for his adult life, leading him to explore several spiritual paths and growth modalities. He was introduced to Circling and Authentic Relating in 2023 through Garrett Rokosh, founder of Circling Canada. Jonathan has attended several intensive Circling retreats as both a participant and support facilitator, ART Level 1, Online Circles with The Circling Institute, and AR Trainings for Business Leaders offered by Garrett. He has found learning to communicate more directly and from the present moment profoundly energizing and connecting. Jonathan's passion is to create community by bringing people together and creating a brave space for people to explore and express who they truly are.
