Bread Table: A History That Repeats Itself.
📅 Holodomor Memorial Day
📍 Vancouver Art Gallery
For Ukrainians, bread is more than food.
It is our memory.
Our culture.
Our tradition.
Our land.
On November 22, in the heart of Vancouver, a long symbolic table will appear —
“Bread Table: A History That Repeats Itself.”
This open-air art installation tells the story of Ukraine —
from the sacred ritual breads of abundance,
to the empty plates of the Holodomor,
from the burned fields of war,
to the great korovai — a bread of hope and resilience.
Throughout the day, hundreds of people — residents, tourists, journalists, and guests from many cultural communities — will witness this living story of loss, survival, and renewal.
🎥 The installation will be documented and shared through national and local media.
Be part of the Bread Table:
Purchase a ticket for the Bread Table experience and receive one of our symbolic gifts:
🥖 a piece of Ukrainian bread,
🌾 a small bouquet of wheat,
or 👜 a tote bag with a bread-inspired print.
All proceeds will go to Ukraine.
Your participation helps bring this project to life —
and keeps the memory alive for future generations.
